Craig Kelly MP quits Liberal Party after Scott Morrison set ‘clear expectations’

Controversial MP Craig Kelly has quit the Liberal Party and will sit on the crossbench after his continued sharing of COVID misinformation.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Tuesday said he had no warning that Kelly was planning to leave the party.

He gave Kelly a “dressing down” earlier this month when Kelly continued to tout hydroxychloroquine, despite it being rejected as a potential virus treatment by federal health authorities.
